Western College was deeply concerned with the sad medical situation in Malawi revealed by Malawl's vice president in November 2012 at National Organization of Nurses and Midwives of Malawi conference that it is invaded by very high unbalanced 'medical personnel:patient' ratio (at 75%} putting unbearable pressure on available personnel of delivering quality medical services. Western College through its deliberate diversification programme would want to help Malawi government to achieve MDGs by investing in medical education through its partner; Texila American University, hence this initiative to contact Medical Council of Malawi.
