Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant post existing in the Parliamentary Service.

Post : Assistant Security Officer (K)
Grade : K/EO
Responsible to : Senior Assistant Security Officer

Purpose of the Job
To provide a safe and secure environment for Members, Staff and property of the National Assembly.

 

Duties

  • Conducts periodic patrols of the premises and residential per security standards;
  • Coordinates screening of Members, Staff and Visitors on entry and exit of the Parliamentary premises;
  • Supervises the manning of the entry points to the National Assembly;
  • Manages the surveillance cameras and the security control room;
  • Provides first aid assistance to Members, Staff and Visitors;
  • Monitors and reports any security incidences and discrepancies; and,
  • Facilitates building capacity and management of staff under his or her responsibility;

    • Qualifications and Experience
    A Diploma in Security Studies with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Military or Police.
